The Virginian-Pilot and Daily Press are looking for talented young journalists to join our newsroom in 2023. Assignments include calling current and potential members to solicit participation or remind them of upcoming events helping with organizing and carrying on in-person, virtual and hybrid workshops, training, or other events creating text and graphic content for WBC website and social media sites and maintaining social media for WBC’s activities helping to coordinate/create/conduct podcasts, programs and interviews for the WBC activities (in particular, health, tech and sports-related ones) Primary assignments include establishment, growth, and management of all of WBC’s social media sites. Working with various executives (e.g., CEO, CFO, CIO, Media Director, and other CEO members of WBC) as needed re: IT/AI needs ASU is a Presenting Sponsor of WBC events. The World’s Best Connectors (The WBCs) is a virtual community of CEOs who help other executives enhance their connections with family, employees, clients, government, and the media (see WBC is involved with research and business development It is a CEO-CEO operation, so there is a lot of coordination involved in seeing that WBC stays in contact with them and assisting the members in effectively identifying and using the latest technology to boost their own productivity. This is a paid internship opportunity and fulfills the minimum 215-hour requirement of JMC484.
